Are there preservatives or chemicals?

No. Our jerky is completely natural, with no added preservatives or chemicals.

Absolutely not! We only use whole strips of top-round beef. Many companies use a “chopped and
formed” process — similar to how chicken nuggets are made — which is why their jerky is often cheaper.
We believe in doing it the right way, even if it costs a little more.

No. Some companies cut exotic or game meats with cheaper meats, like pork, to reduce costs. For
example, “kangaroo jerky” might list pork as its first ingredient. Not ours. Our jerky is always 100%
whole slices of the meat listed on the label — nothing added, nothing hidden.

Our company was founded in California, where our primary processing plant remains. Due to California’s
regulations around exotic meats, we also use a secondary facility in Nevada for some products. All of our
jerky is made USDA- and FDA-certified facilities with onsite inspectors. Our main office is currently in
Florida because that is where life has brought us. It was previously in Indiana.

Most of our meats are farm-raised in the USA, with a few exceptions:
– Wild Boar – truly wild
– Kangaroo and Camel – farm-raised in Australia
– Python – sourced from Vietnam
All of our meats are processed in USDA- and FDA-certified facilities with on-site inspectors.

Shark is our most controversial meat. We use shortfin mako, which is a bycatch of the tuna industry,
meaning it’s not hunted specifically for jerky. We are 100% compliant with all environmental laws and
regulations.

Our beef is grass-fed and grain-finished for optimal flavor and texture.

It takes about 1 pound of raw meat to make just 1/4 pound of jerky. That’s why high-quality jerky costs
more — you’re getting pure, dense protein with no fillers.

Our python comes from Vietnam, not the Florida Everglades. The Everglades pythons have extremely
high mercury levels, making them unsafe for human consumption.

Yes! Our Natural Crisps are sugar-free.
Most of our jerky gets its sweetness naturally from the pineapple juice in our marinades. Many of our
drier varieties (Natural, Black Pepper, Red Chili) contain only 1 gram of sugar, while our sweeter jerky
(like Teriyaki or Sweet & Spicy) includes sugar from teriyaki sauce and brown sugar.

Please note: most of our other jerkies contain soy sauce, which includes gluten.

Our jerky has a one-year shelf life and is completely shelf-stable. It’s dried to a moisture level so
low that bacteria cannot grow, so it does not need to be refrigerated while unopened.
Once the bag is opened and exposed to air and handling (mainly from customers’ hands),
bacteria can begin to grow over time. To extend freshness after opening, we recommend
refrigerating the jerky or storing it in a sealed, cool, dry place.
